OK i havent been on xanga for a long while again, mainly because I've been watching 大長今(Jewel in the Palace)[Korean storyline but cantonese dub]. I finished all 70 episodes in about 8 days while still going to work and playing badminton. Supposely its 50 episodes of 60minutes each but for some reason the one im watching varies from 40 minutes to 60minutes a episode.

The storyline is so very touching. I also can't belive that this is actually korean history about 500 years ago. For a person to go through all that 500 years ago and be discriminated against, i think she's a heck of a woman. The story about her life is very interesting and very winding. The major ups and downs of life, she's experienced it all and multiple times. Few people nowadays can live through one major up and down in their life, let alone a few. Her love life is also pretty interesting, for the guy to go through so much with her and then having to go up against someone with so much authority and power its unimaginable and overwhelming.

Theres so many cool characters in the series.

長今(Young) is so smart, cute and adorable, I wish I had a daughter like her. Too bad young 長今(acted by Lee, Young-Ae) was only in like the first 6-8 episodes and then thats it. 長今(Adult) looks the best when she's a physician(医女). The rectangular hat is way cooler than braiding your hair into a like a pun hat looking thing when they become 上官?(Top chefs). 長今's will and determination is unmatchable, if something like that happened to me I might have given up before she becomes a physician(医女). Lee, Young-Ae (長今) looks a little chubby in the face, but she still looks pretty good, maybe its the camera angle.

Min, Jung-Ho (acted by Ji, Jin-Hee) is pretty handsome i would say, pretty cool character overall, smart, very fit, and warrior-like. His life goes through many twists and turns but in the end it brings him back to square one.

長今's long time best from 年生?(sp?) looks pretty good also. Unlike 長今, she's very shy and also very lucky.

The two older 上官?(Top chefs) Jiang上官 and Hon上官 are also pretty cool, their have nice, kind hearts; darn those evil people in history/story.

I also like how the korean have their class system, the color of clothing that you wear tells others exactly what rank you are. The political structure is also alot of simpler compared to ancient chinese political structure.

I got the 大長今(Jewel in the Palace) OST and most of the songs sound pretty good, I think theres one thats in english, a few thats in korean, and the rest is just sounds from instruments.

Friday night is going to suck, probably aint going to be friday night badminton since Brandon and Uncle Lam are going out for dinner. So if I decide to go anyways I'll be alone and by the time I get home on the bus it would be like 12ish 1am. Hopefully I can get my dad's co-workers to play with me saturday morning at BCIT.

Yesturday, I did some heavy lifting again. I took down one of those scaffold garbage shoots(2 levels) BY MYSELF. Untying the rope was easy, it was hard to take down the walls of the garbage shoot since theres 2 peices of plywood nailed together as the wall. I had to go find me one of those professional nail remover tool things that professionals use, to take out the nail since no one had a spare hammer for me to use and everyone was up on the roof. I also got like 2 mosquito bites or something, I was working and then felt something on the arm and there it was sucking my blood or what ever they do. I flicked it off and then it kept on comming back at my arm, I tried to squish it but then it was either too fast or else I killed like 2 or 3 and more mosquitos came after me or a mix of both.

So I took down the upper level cross-bracers, those were easy, but taking down the actual main structure of it was hard since they are so heavy and I am too short. The first one I took down almost knocked me out so then for the second one I called a co-worker, Glen, for help, but then when we were taking it down I kind of tilted it and a bit it almost hit him on the face. After that I took down the lower level, that was easy compared to the upper level. I moved like 6 sheets of plywood from the side of the condo, down the winding stairs and through the courtyard and I left 4 or 5 sheets of the plywood on those wooden transmission line poles since I got really tired from moving the 6. I got tired pretty quick since they are heavy and so large. They are also hard to grasp onto. Then it was basically lunch.

After lunch, did some more clean up this time Glen was helping me, but then he got the easy part. He basically put the garbage into the garbage pail and I had to bring it through the courtyard, up the winding stairs and then to the big garbage bin. But to dump the garbage I have to climb the ladder with the garbage pail in one hand and climb with my other. Another annoying thing was that the garbage bin was basically full so I had to jump up and down to compress all the garbage so then I can pour more garbage ontop since we only had one garbage bin at the time. Glen had the easy part and he was in the shade while I moved here and there and was in the sun. Soon I was drenched in my own sweat, what a nasty thought even though thats what basically happened. I was sweating like mad and every time I go up to dump the garbage I would be sweating and I'd dump the garbage and wipe the sweat off my face and head and then head back down and the process repeats itself for a few hours. There were two garbage pails, one was large and had handles but it had cracks/holes on the bottom of it, the other one was smaller, without holes but it had no handles. I was screwed either way. While I was husselling around, I saw the boss( it says he's the principle on his business card for some reason) looking around and talking on the phone. So while he was here at the site I worked even harder and faster to look useful to the company because last time he showed up I was also doing cleanup and I was sitting down because I was waiting for Ken to bring me something and then it was a long while so I got up and looked around for Ken but then when I turned my head left I saw Ken working(trying to look useful and doing his job infront of the boss) and then Ken was standing next to the boss. Ken probably gave the boss a good impression while I gave him a bad one, even when I do most of the work when Ken was still working with me. Oh I miss the days when Ken was still working with me and we would work, talk and slack off during the job when no one was around.

Today was pretty nice, a bit cooler(2 degrees only though). First thing I had to do, was to clean the area around the garbage bin since it was taken away, and theres broken glass on the ground from the window guys, so I cleaned that up. Then Glen and I took down a 2 level scaffold and moved it to the same place as yesturday, he took the long cross bracers while I had to take the heavy and bigger scaffold. What a nice guy huh? After that, we did a site cleanup since for some reason we had to have the place cleaned up for the long weekend and we also have to take some stuff down cause it can't be lying around over the weekend, maybe bacause it labour day or something. After cleaning up the place I had to goto the washroom and Glen passed by to goto the garbage bin. I did my business and then came back out to the site that I was cleaning and then down comes Geoffrey, the supervisor at this location, from the scaffolds and tells me its coffee time so I head to the company storage container where my stuff is and get some water and a snack and I come out and then Glen thinks that I on purposely didnt tell him that it was coffee time since he was the last to know, I was second last anyways. I thought he knew since the other guys know Glen better than they know me.

To be Continued...

I have to go to buy "fan hap" because my mom's working and has OT and bro's sick so he's not going(plus he has no bus pass). Its badminton night so I have to eat early and then leave. Meeting Uncle Mark at 530.

Woke up at like 6 for work and I did my usual thing, check weather and sites. Then I saw Leo's MSN "P.L.L.-小惡魔+Teen Angel=墮落天使???~~~well...i didn't fail english after all~~~wut a miracle~~lolz" I thought, wow marks are out, so I go check and then find out holy shit my marks are like shit especially physics, wth happened to physics how'd I get that damn low? After checking out my marks my mood died and I become energyless. I was thinking about redoing a few of my provincials. And how provincials will affect work and pay and all. Should I skip the day of the provincials or go for like a few hours then leave early or what.

I got to work later, worked slower, o well half the guys(two) didn't show up so I actually got there 2nd, my supervisor, Geoffrey or the guy who I always for what to do next, didnt even know I arrived until break time. Glen my co-worker who drops me off close to home, apparently went into the shop/office for some stuff so he arrived a bit after than me. Basically finished cleaning up the worksite a few minutes before lunch so I decided to go up to the roof to check out what is there for me to do. It was basically my second time on the roof for work. Found out that i'm basically going to help them out on the roof after lunch and then back down we go. Just like always its always easy to go upwards and hard to go down when your not used to the sloped roof. Same thing with climbing trees, its easy to look up and plan how you want to climb, but its very different when your looking down and planning how your going to get back down. It was also even harder to walk on since it hasn't been shingled yet so there was only Asphalt(fibre paper or something like that?) on the roof, and so then it was semi-hard to move up and down on. The material is softish like fabric but has some stuff on it that makes it harder and like soft sandpaper but without the sand being glued on to the paper. I remember walking on shingles ,is so easy, theres so much gripe, but not asphalt. After lunch, went back up to the roof and I got to do the tear off(demolition). It was a small area, like 1 meter high and like about 1.6meters across. It was pretty hard because it's small peices of wood(20cm by like 30cm) nailed down and
overlapping like 50% so I had to pry/break everything off. I helped them put the plywood over the roof wood(structure thats part of the condo). Then they put some sticky paper stuff on the bottom and then asphalt above. All I did was help out a bit here and there but mainly just stood around watching since this was the first time. I don't know what I'm doing and what they are doing. Ended work a bit later than normal since there was less people working so it took more time to clean up for the day. Got a ride and also bought a surplee. Next time when I have a choice between Chevron and 7-11 slurpees, i'll choose 7-11 any day. Chevron store has sucky slurpees (lots of ice and not enough of the juice/stuff), 7-11 has way better made slurpees; cheaper and also has bigger sizes(more varitey to choose from).

Got home, told my mom that I didn't do too well and we talked a bit. She somehow got smarter and ask why am I thinking about retaking the provincials when I can already graduate and I dont need it for BCIT. This is like the first time so got so smart, I felt so dumb afterwards. O well i'm just waiting for my bro to get off work and come home so he can give me some advice.

I'm so bored nowadays, nothing to do, no movies for me to watch. The main reason why I'm back on xanga for the past while.

I'm so happy today, I got my first paycheck/paycheck statement or whatever its called. I get Almost $900 in only 9 days of work! To bad theres Deductions, income tax, CPP and EI thats $165 of MY MONEY. Man that sucks 18.5% of my hard earn money is taken away from me and giving to the Government for safekeeping, ya right, they will just spend it on some dumb idea. Good thing I'm not 19 yet and I get tax return keke. I should get all of my income tax deductions back and thats the biggest chunk of my missing money, $110, thats alot. So cool, I even get vacation pay, but thats like nothing compared to my paycheck but still alot $32 can buy me alot of bbt/snacks/badminton playing time. Only problem now is that I have to goto the bank to get my money since its direct deposit into my bank account and thats so "ma fan" since theres no Royal Bank close to my home. I need to bus no matter what to get to any location, none within walking distance.

Got home and watched "Hot Cop in the City" (HK), the movie has no storyline what so ever. Random events just happened out of no where basically. The producer basically spent all the money to get Sonija Kwok(郭羨妮) into the movie. But ya, Sonija Kwok(郭羨妮) is good looking.

Nowadays I get home and take a shower, its become a habit since it doesnt feel good to have saw dust/woodchip particles and sweat on the skin. But it kind of sucks because after a few hours, the latent heat is in the house and I feel like I need to take another shower to cool off.
